Harvey Weinstein was found with illegal Milk Duds in November. The news was out by the LA County jail guards. They said that they had been on him during a search on November 10. Seizing the Milk Duds, the guards said that future inspections would require them to check his attorneys’ legal binders and laptop bags.
According to Variety, when Weinstein was apprehended, he told authorities that he had carried the caramel balls with him when he was extradited from New York in July 2021. Authorities, on the other hand, do not accept the assertions, claiming that they had searched him thoroughly upon entering the LA facility. The prison authorities then concluded that the only way Weinstein would have obtained the chocolate was during an attorney visit.
In a statement provided to E! News on March 3, the 69-year-old producer said, “This was an innocent misunderstanding. It will not happen again. I have been a model inmate, following the rules and regulations and I am sincerely sorry.”
Apologizing for the situation Weinstein’s attorneys said, “We have been informed about this and are very sorry it happened.” “It had not happened before, and never happened since. Harvey has been a model inmate and intends to continue as such.”
All 11 charges together could amount to a sentence of 140 years
Weinstein pled not guilty last year to four counts of rape and seven other counts of sexual abuse; four counts of forcible oral copulation, two acts of sexual violence by restraint; one count of sexual penetration by force. They are among the seven sexual assault allegations.
In New York, Harvey Weinstein was guilty of third-degree rape and a criminal sexual act in 2020. He was to complete 23 years of a jail sentence. He was spending before his repatriation at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo. Weinstein has filed a plea against his conviction. He has sustained his innocence and denied all charges of extramarital affairs. (Alprazolam) The former film producer will soon have a second trial on the other side of the country.
