Many people love to eat pizzas or burgers but imagine eating the same for the rest of your life? A man has been eating Macdonald’s daily nearly for the last 50 years. The Guinness Book of World Records said that Donald Gorske celebrated Tuesday which marked the 50th anniversary of him eating a Big Mac almost every day. He missed only eight days in the last 50 years and sometimes eats two Big Macs a day.
The King of Big Macs
On a poster outside to greet him, the outlet stated, “Congrats Don on 50 years of Macs.” A McDonald’s sign inspired the letters D-O-N. Donald Gorske is also known as “The King of Big Macs,” according to Guinness World Records. Posting the picture of him on the office Instagram page, Guinness World Records wrote, “Donald’s record for the biggest Mac burgers eaten in a lifetime was first officially recognized in 1999 at 15,490. Since then, his record has more than doubled.”
“When I like something, I stick with it all the time,” Gorske told Guinness. Gorske experienced his first taste of the burger in 1972. This was at his local McDonald’s in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. “At that moment I said ‘I’m going to probably eat these for the rest of my life. I’ll probably be eating Big Macs every day for the rest of my life” he said.
Mr. Gorske is a dedicated burger enthusiast. It is evident from the fact that each container and receipt are organized by year in cartons and bags. He also keeps track of his consistency by keeping a daily calendar. Despite eating nearly 30,000 burgers, he is in fantastic health. He maintains it by taking a six-mile stroll every day.
