US war veteran, Raymond Roberts, wins the lottery six times in a row, credits ‘intuition’ for the wins

It would be an understatement to say that this military veteran from Massachusetts was fortunate. A veteran of the Vietnam War Raymond Roberts Sr. achieved a string of record-breaking wins in the lottery. He won a lottery of $2 million, not once or twice, but a record six times and he attributes his achievement to his “intuition.”

He entered a liquor store on December 13 and purchased six lotto tickets. He purchased six Lucky for Life lottery tickets, selecting a set of numbers based on his birthday and anniversary dates. Notably, he had tried this combo for the previous 20 years and had come up empty. It was different this time.

The odds of winning just the $25,000 a year for life reward from the lottery are one in a million

Last Thursday, he claimed his prices and chose the $390,000 cash option on five of his prizes for a total of $1.95 million before taxes.

And on the sixth $390,000 prize, Roberts opted to take it in annual payments of $25,000 each.

According to the rules of the game, the odds of winning just the $25,000 per year for life prize are one in a million.

What does he intend to do with this money now that he has finally won it? The man, who resides in Fall River, which is about 50 miles (80 km) south of Boston, claims that he will purchase a motorcycle as a result of the lottery.
