Buckingham Palace said on Monday that the United Kingdom will commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years on the throne with a military parade, neighborhood gatherings, and a competition to invent a new dessert for the Platinum Jubilee.

On February 6, Elizabeth will become the first British monarch to reign for seven decades. The celebrations will culminate in a four-day weekend of events from June 2 to 5.
