On February 6, Elizabeth will become the first British monarch to reign for seven decades. The celebrations will culminate in a four-day weekend of events from June 2 to 5.
After doctors recently recommended she get more rest, it was unclear which events Queen Elizabeth(95) would attend in honor of her 70 years on the throne.
Trooping the Colour, the annual military parade that honors the queen’s actual birthday will kick off the weekend. It includes an extra public holiday in her honor, on Thursday, June 2.
