Kate Middleton is living a slow life these days. The British princess was spotted months after her cancer diagnosis in public.
Kate Middleton was busy spending time with her family, and sources quoted in People said that the royal was with her family, including kids Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. There are, however, no photos of Kate’s sighting. If this report is to be believed, it’s the first time that Kate has stepped out in public since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March.
Kate Middleton’s last public outing was in March
Kate’s last public sighting was in mid-March, when she and her husband, Prince William were filmed leaving a farm shop near their Windsor residence. The last time she was part of an official royal engagement was in December, when she joined the royal family for the traditional walk to Christmas morning service on the Sandringham estate.
Kate and King Charles underwent hospitalization following respective cancer diagnoses
After December, Kate Middleton kept a low profile, with many suggesting something serious was up. It was later revealed that she and her father-in-law were admitted to a hospital for their respective illnesses. It was in January when the palace announced that Kate underwent an unspecified abdominal surgery. After the surgery, Kensington Palace announced that Kate would be recuperating from the operation for the next three months.
After months of speculation and unrest within the British public, Kate announced the shocking health news in a video message that was released on March 22.
In her statement, Kate said, “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I’m going to be okay. As I’ve said to them, I am well, and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal, in my mind, body, and spirits.”
The palace hasn’t informed the public about the type or stage of her cancer.
