Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate is facing serious allegations of rape and strangulation from two British women, according to a report by the BBC. Tate, along with his brother Tristan, is already under house arrest in Romania, where they are both facing charges of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. If convicted, the brothers could face over 10 years in prison. Both Andrew and Tristan Tate deny all charges against them.
House arrest and ongoing investigations
Andrew Tate is currently under house arrest in Romania, where he is being investigated for multiple charges, including sex with a minor and human trafficking of underage individuals. As the investigation continues, new allegations have surfaced, including testimonies from British women who claim they were attacked by the Tate brothers in the UK before the Romanian case began.
Disturbing allegations from victims
One of the accusers, known as “Anna” (not her real name), claims she dated Andrew Tate in 2013. She recalls a terrifying encounter where Tate threatened her before raping and strangling her.
“He just looked at me and said, ‘I’m debating whether I should rape you or not,’” she told the BBC. Tate later sent her disturbing messages, expressing enjoyment of the violence he inflicted. “The more you didn’t like it, the more I enjoyed it,” he said in a voice note. He also wrote in a text message, “I love raping you.”
Another woman, referred to as “Sienna,” alleges she met Tate in 2014 and was strangled to unconsciousness during sex. “I was absolutely terrified,” she told the BBC. “I just remember gasping for air… It was rape.” She claims that Tate continued to rape her even after she regained consciousness. The next day, she woke up with a bloodshot eye, a common symptom of strangulation in domestic abuse cases. A friend of Sienna’s corroborated her account, stating that she told him about the incident at the time and he saw her eye injury.
A pattern of abuse
The allegations from “Anna” and “Sienna” are not isolated incidents. Many other women have come forward, claiming that Tate used manipulation and control to trap them in abusive situations. The Tate brothers are facing growing legal challenges, including trafficking and exploitation charges in Romania, where prosecutors allege that women were transported from the UK for sexual exploitation.
Andrew Tate’s denial
Despite numerous accusations, Andrew Tate maintains his innocence. In a 2023 interview with the BBC, he denied ever hurting anyone and claimed that he never engaged in non-consensual acts.
The unfolding case against Andrew and Tristan Tate continues to capture public attention, as more women come forward with allegations, and the legal proceedings in Romania progress.
