Trump threatens to release sensitive information on DeSantis if he runs for President

Ahead of the Tuesday midterm elections, Trump revealed he will release sensitive information that could hurt DeSantis if he were to run for President. Here’s everything you need to know.

Trump threatens DeSantis against running for President

Former US President Donald Trump warned Florida Governor Ron DeSantis against joining the 2024 presidential elections. Trump also stated he will be releasing ‘unflattering information’ if he decides to go ahead. “I think he would be making a mistake. I think the base would not like it,” stated Trump to Fox News. Additionally, he added that the decision would also harm the Republican party.

“I don’t know if he is running. I think if he runs, he could hurt himself very badly. I believe he could hurt himself badly. I don’t think it would be good for the party,” added Trump. DeSantis and Trump are going to be the main contenders for the nomination. He has been targetting DeSantis at several rallies, calling him names such as “Ron DeSanctimonious”.

More on Trump’s threat

While Trump did not reveal many details, he stated that he will reveal “things about him that won’t be very flattering. I know more about him than anybody – other than, perhaps, his wife” if DeSantis decides to run. However, this is not the first time Trump has threatened to release detrimental information about his rivals. Moreover, Trump is also denying routing out the competition. “There’s not a tiff with me, and I’m way up in the polls,” clarified Trump.
