A missing girl in the United States was recovered after she used hand signals that went viral on TikTok to indicate she was in danger. The girl went missing last week but was found 2 days later in a car. She made use of hand gestures designed to help domestic abuse victims.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says the girl was inside a silver-colored Toyota car. A driver saw her using hand signals known on TikTok “to represent violence at home.” After recognizing the meaning of the signals and determining that the teen “appeared to be in distress,” the driver called 911.

Investigators found a phone in Brick’s possession that “allegedly sexually portrayed a juvenile female,” Root says. According to the sheriff’s office, Brick is facing charges of unlawful detention.
