Authorities are searching for Jeremy Albert Best, 48, who fled with his infant son after allegedly murdering his wife Kali Jean Randall, 38, in an Idaho home. Kali Jean Randall, a silversmith from Victor, Idaho, was discovered dead on November 30, 2023.
Teton County Sheriff’s Office deputies described Jeremy as heavily armed and extremely dangerous and said he was wanted on suspicion of murdering his wife and kidnapping their son.
Authorities said in a press release that Jeremy Albert Best was last seen in Victor, Idaho, on Thursday night, fleeing with 10-month-old Zeke Gregory Best. On Friday, December 1, an amber alert was also issued for the toddler, who was believed to be in imminent danger.
Jeremy Albert Best was last seen in a black 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV with Idaho license plate 1T39349. Authorities issued a statement urging people not to approach the suspect.

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office stated on Facebook that authorities responded to a 911 call on Thursday night. During the call, the dispatcher allegedly heard a “disturbance… over the line,” prompting an immediate response.
Kali Jean Randal was found unresponsive at the scene by authorities. Her death was determined to be a homicide. While the circumstances surrounding the murder are unknown, authorities said that on Thursday afternoon, before the victim was discovered dead, her husband, who is now a suspect in the killing, was admitted to the hospital for mental health issues.
Jeremy Albert Best, a Victor mechanic, was discovered naked in Swan Valley General Store hours before his wife was discovered dead. EastIdahoNews.com obtained surveillance video of him naked slouching on the store’s counter next to the cash register before being escorted out by people.
Responding to a disturbance at the store, Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly followed an ambulance transporting Best to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for mental health concerns. A hospital spokeswoman, Coleen Niemann told KSL that Best was discharged Thursday afternoon but did not provide further details.

Brian Randall, the victim’s brother, told PEOPLE that his sister worked as a veterinarian technician before starting to make handcrafted jewelry. Kali Jean Randall and her husband, Jeremy Albert Best, are said to have met in 2009 and will marry in 2022. Brian told PEOPLE, through tears, that he was unaware of any conflict between the couple.
A Facebook page that appeared to be the victim’s documented her life as an artist and her life with her husband and baby. In April 2023, she posted a heartbreaking photo of herself holding her 2-month-old son.
