Atlanta-based rapper Young Scooter was reportedly shot in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday. The incident occurred just blocks away from State Farm Arena, where the NCAA tournament is being held. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, one person was shot, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that the victim was Young Scooter, whose real name was Kenneth Edward Bailey.
Local reports indicate that the shooting took place at the intersection of Luckie Street NW and Mills Street NW. Young Scooter was found at the scene with gunshot wounds and was transported to Marcus Trauma Center in Atlanta in critical condition. His cause of death is currently under investigation.
