US TikToker buys an Amazon folding home. Video goes viral

In one of the most unusual purchases, a 23-year-old Tiktoker bought a folding house from Amazon in the United States. Following the purchase of the house, the TikToker posted a video showcasing his new abode. ”I just purchased a house on Amazon. “I didn’t even think twice about it,” said Jeffrey Bryant, a Los Angeles resident, in the TikTok video that went viral. According to the Metro, the house is a fold-out flat measuring 16.5ft by 20ft that cost him approximately $26,000. The compact flat includes a kitchenette, a living room, a bedroom, a built-in shower, and a toilet. The TikToker paid for the mansion with money he recently inherited from his late grandfather’s estate.

Not only TikToker Bryant, but many others, have been acquiring such tiny homes online

Not only TikToker Bryant, but many others, have been acquiring such tiny homes online, which is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to costly housing deposits and rising rents. Reviewing the folding house on Amazon, one customer remarked, ”Love it! It’s inexpensive and fits both me and my dog! “Highly recommended.” Many others were not convinced on the internet and branded it a ”waste of money.” Bryant told the New York Post about his unusual selection, saying, “I saw this YouTuber unboxing his Amazon home.” I also ran to the website to acquire one.

The TikToker still needs to complete the plumbing and electrical work in the foldable house. In another follow-up video, the TikToker said that he won’t be living in the house but will transform it into an AirBnB which can be used by people who are homeless or displaced people. ”The plan is to AirBnb it. That’s a smart decision. The electrical, plumbing, and everything, I have all that set up. I just really want to get the permits in hand first to move and get everything situated,” he said. The man has now been working with an estate agent to purchase the land where the house will be placed. ”As a person of colour and a Gen Z, I want to inspire others to make wise decisions with their money. People my age are told that we can’t afford to purchase homes, but I’m proof that it is possible,” he said.
