US Coast Guard recovers last pieces of Titanic submersible

The US Coast Guard has recovered human remains and remnants from the Titan submersible, which tragically exploded on its way to survey the Titanic wreck in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Coast Guard has declared that a public hearing will be held at a later date

These are the final pieces of the ill-fated submersible, which killed all five crew members during its deep-sea voyage. According to Coast Guard officials, the further sections of the vessel were discovered from the sea floor last week and transported to a US port. Medical examiners will examine the human remains. Despite the fact that the Titan submarine was described as “experimental” by OceanGate, the company that created it, the sub completed numerous dives to the Titanic wreck, which lies 3,800m (12,467ft) below sea level in the North Atlantic.

According to the news source, the company’s CEO, Stockton Rush, was aboard the deadly vessel, which disintegrated under the severe pressure of the water. The other four people who died on board were British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, 48; his son Suleman, 19; British businessman Hamish Harding, 58; and former French naval diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet, 77. Last Wednesday, the collection and shipment of the remaining components were finished. According to The BBC, a global investigation into the disaster is ongoing, and the Coast Guard has declared that a public hearing will be held at a later date.
