Luxury Lifestyle Funded by a Deadly Drug Empire
The arrest of Jasveen Sangha, infamously known as the “Ketamine Queen of Los Angeles,” has uncovered a life of opulence funded by a lethal drug empire. Sangha, 41, a dual British and American citizen, is now at the center of a federal investigation for allegedly supplying the ketamine that led to the tragic death of actor Matthew Perry on October 28 last year. She is among five individuals charged in connection with Perry’s death.
Prosecutors describe Sangha as a “celebrity drug dealer” who catered to high-profile clients, priding herself on offering “high-quality goods.” Her Hollywood residence, termed a “drug-selling emporium” by federal authorities, allegedly served as the hub of a vast operation dealing in methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, and her specialty, ketamine.
Federal raid unveils shocking details
A federal raid on Sangha’s home in March revealed a staggering 79 bottles of liquid ketamine, nearly 2,000 methamphetamine pills, and various other illegal substances. Her operation, reportedly active since at least June 2019, was lucrative enough to fund an extravagant lifestyle.
Sangha’s social media profiles paint a picture of a life few could imagine, frequently showcasing trips to exotic locations such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Japan, France, Dubai, and Antigua. Prosecutors have noted her “blithe indifference” to the deadly nature of the ketamine she distributed.
Opulent lifestyle
Her luxury was not limited to her travels. Sangha drove a Range Rover, which she later swapped for a leased 2024 BMW. She also rented a North Hollywood home, described by prosecutors as a “stash house,” for thousands of dollars per month. Social media posts show her partying with A-list actors notorious for their addiction problems, including Charlie Sheen. Her Instagram handle is filled with photos of trips on private jets, devouring caviar at exotic locations, and flaunting designer wear, including shoes by Louis Vuitton and clothes from Chanel.
Despite the charges against her, Sangha maintained a seemingly carefree attitude in the days leading up to her arrest. According to the New York Post, friends noted she appeared more social and engaged than ever, frequently attending parties, shopping, and indulging in beauty treatments like Botox and IV drips. Known for receiving regular beauty treatments, Sangha reportedly took pride in her looks, which some say played into her allure as a “celebrity drug dealer.”
Legal proceedings and future
Following her arrest on methamphetamine possession charges in March, Sangha was released on a $100,000 bond. However, she continued to lead her luxurious life until her re-arrest in connection with Perry’s death. The latest charges against her, detailed in an 18-count superseding indictment, include conspiracy to distribute ketamine, falsifying documents, and various other drug trafficking offenses. Sangha has pleaded not guilty, but the judge has ordered her to be held without bail as she awaits trial.
The unfolding case against Jasveen Sangha serves as a grim reminder of the deadly consequences of the drug trade, even within the glittering circles of Hollywood.
