After an extensive investigation, authorities arrested Cameron Kizer Jr., charging him with Maxwell’s death. The Fort Wayne Police Department reported that Maxwell was fatally shot in the 3900 block of Warsaw Street shortly after midnight on July 25. Officers nearby responded promptly upon hearing gunfire, but Maxwell was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Social media posts raise suspicions

Court documents reveal that Kizer allegedly made incriminating posts on social media platforms shortly after the shooting. One such post reportedly read “head shot.” Additionally, Kizer is said to have uploaded a rap video on YouTube, wherein he alluded to resolving a conflict, rapping: “I gotta finish the beef they started. You get a low on bro then call me.”
