Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, allegedly clicked himself taking a crack while driving a car at 172 miles per hour (about 276kmph) on his way to Las Vegas, Nevada. According to a story by Marca published last Sunday (July 2), this photo is one of the thousands that were just transferred from Hunter’s discarded laptop.
In a leaked photo from 2018, Hunter, now 53, can be seen clutching a crack pipe, then lighting and smoking it as he drives down a street lined with houses, which was later identified as Arlington, Virginia. Another photo showed Hunter driving a Porsche to Vegas at high speeds. According to the report, texts on the discarded laptop suggested a hot tub party with several women waiting for him.
Hunter Biden’s struggles with addiction and legal controversies divide Americans
Hunter was a drug addict who admitted to consuming cocaine as a college student. He has been in and out of treatment. In his memoir “Beautiful Things,” the 53-year-old described being unable to go home from the neighborhood liquor store with a plastic jug of vodka without taking a gulp. Hunter has admitted to cleaning up his act, but the leaked photographs continue to plague him.
Meanwhile, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, half of all Americans feel Hunter received preferential treatment from prosecutors who reached a bargain that allowed him to plead guilty to tax crimes while avoiding a gun-related conviction. Hunter agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges of wilfully failing to pay income taxes and to engage in an arrangement that could prevent a conviction on a gun-related allegation, according to US Attorney David Weiss.
The poll, which ended on June 21, found that Americans were divided on the case along partisan lines, with 75% of Republicans seeing preferential treatment compared to 33% of Democrats. The majority of respondents stated the lawsuit will not influence their decision to vote for Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
