Human bones found in Brooklyn Park for second time this week

NYPD Investigates Disturbing Discoveries Within a Week

For the second time in just one week, human bones have been found in a Brooklyn park along the East River, alarming local residents and prompting an investigation by the New York Police Department (NYPD).

First discovery near Jane’s Carousel

Early Wednesday, police responded to a 911 call reporting the discovery of a body near Jane’s Carousel. Upon arrival, officers determined that the civilian had found skeletal remains on the rocks along the shore, according to an NYPD statement.

This unsettling find comes just two days after another report of human remains in the same vicinity. A New York City Parks enforcement officer discovered skeletal remains on the beach, further heightening concerns among locals and authorities.

According to New York ABC station WABC, the remains found on Wednesday included a femur and several smaller bones.

Ongoing investigation

“The medical examiner is investigating the remains found on both days,” the NYPD confirmed. The investigations aim to uncover the origins of these remains and any potential connections between the two discoveries.

The repeated discoveries have left the community on edge, as residents await further information from the ongoing investigation.
