All about the temperature dip in North India

As per predictions by weather experts, the Northern part of India may start experiencing another intense cold wave from Saturday with the temperature expected to dip as low as -4 degrees Celsius. “Never seen temperature ensemble going this low in a prediction model so far in my career,” stated Navdeep Dahiya. Dahiya is the founder of Live Weather of India, an online platform. “Don’t know how to put this up but the upcoming spell of cold waves in India looks extreme during January 14-19 with a peak on 16-18th. Freezing -4°c to +2°c in plains, Wow,” he added.

Moreover, he added that the fog aids in the prediction of weather as maximum temperatures can dip if harsh weather conditions continue. “Still have three days, with minor +/- this is going to happen. Fog will play a crucial role in moderating night temperatures… but if (it) lasts long single-digit maximum temperatures will be there. Very interesting days ahead,” he added. In his opinion, January 2023 could be the coldest in the history of the 21st century.
