One of the “most beautiful things” that God has provided to humans, according to Pope Francis, is sex. In a video that was made available to the public on Wednesday, the leader of the Catholic Church extolled the benefits of sex. The documentary “The Pope Answers,” a first-run Spanish television program starring Pope Francis, documents a meeting he had with 10 individuals in their early 20s in Rome last year.

In the documentary, he said, “Sex is one of the beautiful things that God has given to the human person.” referring to masturbation, Pope said that to express yourself sexually is “richness”. “So anything that detracts from real sexual expression lessens you and depletes this richness,” he said. Pope reacted impulsively to a number of intriguing, unusual, and difficult questions posed by the young speakers. He was questioned about his knowledge of “non-binary people,” as well as other things like whether he was familiar with Tinder. Pope responded positively to the non-binary person’s query and reaffirmed that the Catholic Church must embrace LGBT people.
He said: “All persons are the children of God. God does not reject anybody, God is a father. And I have no right to expel anyone from the Church.” The official Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, published the Pope’s comments, which included a discussion of abortion, which the Roman Catholic Church has repeatedly condemned. It claims that abortion is the intentional and direct removal of an unborn child’s life. Regarding abortion, Pope said that while the practice is still wrong, clerics should be “merciful” to women who have chosen to abort. “It good to call things by their name. It is one thing to accompany the person who had one (abortion), quite another to justify the act,” he said.
