In a strange gesture amid the Ukraine conflict, Russian state television broadcasted a terrifying simulated nuclear strike on Europe. There would be “no survivors,” said the show. Nuclear strikes could take place in minutes in Berlin, Paris, and London, according to the show.
To revert to the comments made by the UK’s Armed Forces, anchors on Channel One’s 60 Minutes warned that nuclear weapons could hit European capitals in less than four minutes. The scary allegations regarding Russia’s nuclear weapons were made on one of the country’s most famous TV shows. The hosts of the show said, “One Sarmat (missile) and that’s it – the British Isles are no more.”
Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile is a “truly unique weapon”
Skabeyeva, one of the hosts, said that the United Kingdom also possessed nuclear weapons. She added that “no one will survive this war”. It showcased a chart depicting how the missiles could be launched from Kaliningrad. It is a Russian territory between Poland, Lithuania, and the Baltic Sea.
The show further depicted how a nuclear strike could take place. It claimed that Berlin can be destroyed in 106 seconds, Paris in 200 seconds, and London in 202 seconds. Putin recently ordered his military to conduct a test firing of its Sarmat missiles.
Furthermore, Putin asserted that the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile is a “truly unique weapon”. Moreover, the Russian defense ministry said, “Sarmat is the most powerful missile with the longest range of destruction of targets in the world.” It can evade anti-missile defense systems and has multiple warheads. Putin recently claimed that his country’s hypersonic missiles certainly could “breakthrough all current defenses”; and that they would be ready to lay siege to the United Kingdom “by autumn.”
