Russia is using dummy nuclear-capable missiles to distract air defences, claims Kyiv

The Ukrainian military asserts that Russia is currently attacking its air defenses with nuclear-capable missiles bearing non-explosive warheads. Mykola Danyliuk, a military official, displayed pieces of what he claimed to be pieces of nuclear-capable Kh-55 cruise missiles built in the Soviet Union. They are being employed to “exhaust the air-defense system of our country,” he claimed.

He explained, “This is a replacement for a thermo-nuclear guided charge.” According to Danyliuk, Russia had not used the Kh-55 in Ukraine before October 31.

The official said, “The parts were examined, and no anomalous radioactivity was detected.” After launching many missile attacks on its infrastructure, Ukraine believes Moscow’s arsenal has significantly decreased. It now employs blunt bullets that nevertheless cause destruction for this reason. Such missiles are fired in order to divert and exhaust Ukraine’s air defense system’s attention. Danyliuk added that the serial numbers of every Kh-55 missile that had been found had been scratched out.

The UK claimed the missiles were created “exclusively as a nuclear delivery system”

The components of Kh-55 cruise missiles, also identified as AS-15 by NATO, were discovered in the Khmelnytsky and Lviv districts. During the Soviet era, the missiles were created to strike “strategic targets with predefined coordinates.” The UK claimed the missiles were created “exclusively as a nuclear delivery system” in the meantime. However, it appears that before firing the missiles, the Russian military removed the nuclear warheads and replaced them with an inert system.

The UK claimed the missiles were created “exclusively as a nuclear delivery system” in the meanwhile. However, it appears that before firing the missiles, the Russian military removed the nuclear warheads and replaced them with an inert system. Danyliuk pointed out that due to the missile’s kinetic energy and fuel byproducts, it may still do enough harm even with a non-explosive warhead.

This is demonstrated by the most recent attack, in which a Kh-55 missile struck a residential structure, he claimed. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Thursday that top security officials in Ukraine have authorized a probe into the actions of a branch of the Orthodox Church with a long-standing connection to Moscow.

The invasion of Ukraine by Moscow has the support of the Orthodox Church in Russia

He added that the investigation will examine whether the Pechersk Lavra complex in Kyiv, one of Ukraine’s holiest locations, has the right to host the Moscow branch of the church. The invasion of Ukraine by Moscow has the support of the Orthodox Church in Russia. In a video address, Zelenskiy stated, “We have to create conditions so that no actors dependent on the aggressor state (Russia) can manipulate Ukrainians and weaken Ukraine from within.
