Meghan Markle, Prince Harry share the first photo of daughter Lilibet on Christmas card

The holiday card from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has arrived. And it includes a picture of their daughter, Lilibet Diana, for the first time. On Thursday, the couple shared a photo of their four-person family. Moreover in the photo, Prince Harry is holding Archie, a 2-year-old boy, and Markle is holding Lilibet Diana, a 6-month-old girl.

The photo was taken at the couple’s Santa Barbara, California, home. Over the summer by Alexi Lubomirski, the same photographer Harry and Markle used for their royal wedding, according to a press release from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s representatives. “Happy Holidays. This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa,’ and Lili made us a family,” the holiday card reads.

We're grateful to Archewell Foundation and Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their support of our efforts to welcome Afghan families to the US. On June 4, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born. Moreover, at the time, Prince Harry and Markle said in a statement that their daughter’s first name was inspired by her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s nickname, and her middle name was inspired by her late grandmother Princess Diana. “As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor households from those being relocated from Afghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave,” the holiday-card message adds before including a list of the organizations.

However, according to its website, Team Rubicon, an organization that provides relief to those affected by disasters and humanitarian crises, first shared the holiday card. During their November visit to the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, Harry and Markle met with Team Rubicon staff, according to their press release. Harry and Meghan have certainly made releasing a holiday card a yearly tradition. The couple shared an illustration of a photo taken by Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, last year. It featured the couple and their two dogs, Pula and Guy.
