Athos Salome, a self-proclaimed psychic often referred to as the “Living Nostradamus,” has issued a dire warning about the potential outbreak of World War III. According to Salome, the conflict will be ignited by “sabotage and hybrid warfare,” a threat he claims has already begun to unfold in real-time.
The Brazilian clairvoyant, who has gained notoriety for his past predictions, including the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, urged people to “pay attention to the signs” as geopolitical tensions escalate.
Warning signs already in motion
Salome pointed to the recent destruction of an undersea fiber optic cable between Latvia and Sweden as a possible act of hybrid warfare. The incident, which disrupted vital communications infrastructure, has prompted NATO to heighten security measures and led the European Union to develop emergency protocols to protect critical infrastructure.
“These attacks continue to happen, which has led NATO to increase security measures in the area, while the European Union develops emergency procedures to protect critical infrastructure,” Salome was quoted as saying by Mirror.
The psychic highlighted the strategic importance of submarine cables, stating that their destruction could trigger “digital blackouts that jeopardize military capabilities and cause major economic instability.” He warned that such disruptions could have consequences equivalent to direct military action.
China-Russia tensions and the domino effect
Salome also predicted that growing tensions between China and Russia could further escalate global instability, particularly in the South China Sea.
“Today, we live in an era of hybrid warfare, where the destruction of an internet cable can have just as devastating implications as a military attack,” he said. “If the destruction of the cables in the Baltic really is an act of sabotage, what will NATO’s response be? How will Russia react to a possible formal indictment? And, most importantly, how far could this escalation take us?”
A modern-day Nostradamus?
Salome has drawn comparisons to the 16th-century French astrologer Nostradamus, whose prophecies have been linked to major historical events such as Adolf Hitler’s rise to power, the September 11 attacks, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
While skeptics remain unconvinced, Salome’s latest warning has intensified discussions about global security and the evolving nature of modern warfare. Whether his prediction materializes remains to be seen, but his cautionary message has certainly captured the world’s attention.
