Leaked Maps: Hidden bunkers found under Putin’s 1.3bn ‘Secret Palace’

According to stolen documents obtained by Business Insider, Russian President Vladimir Putin maintains a hidden home by the Black Sea with a network of tunnels and bunkers to help him escape. Putin’s’secret mansion’ is a luxury house on the Black Sea coast, and its ownership has been the subject of debate and speculation. According to The Telegraph, Putin allegedly ordered the tunnels, which are 50 meters below sea level, to safeguard himself in the event of a revolution or war.

The 190,000-square-foot, $1.3-billion complex has every luxury imaginable for its owner. According to the magazine, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny first disclosed the palace’s existence in 2021, claiming that it houses a cathedral, wine cellar, casino, and ice rink. A separate no-fly zone and 17,000 acres of forest isolate the palace from the rest of Russia.

Tunnels uncovered beneath Putin’s Black Sea Complex

The Kremlin, on the other hand, has frequently refuted the charges, claiming that the palace is not owned by President Putin or any state organization. They have called the allegations false and dismissed them as part of a coordinated operation to smear Putin’s reputation.

The now-defunct Russian contractor Metro Style made available the building’s plans, which reveal elaborate tunnels and bunkers beneath it. The company published these maps in 2010 and they were still available in 2016. The diagrams can still be accessed using the Wayback Machine, an internet archive.

They were discovered by a group of Russian “diggers” who visit and record forbidden regions. A member of the digging crew, who identified himself as being from the organization “Sect Z,” told Business Insider that they were publishing the pictures “because we are tired of Putin’s stupid face and want to show his paranoid underground transport. Bunkers, ventilation systems, and tunnels revealed

Thousands of Russians had marched to the streets by the time Mr. Navalny published his exposé on Mr. Putin’s Black Sea complex in 2021. The Russian president’s ownership of the residence has been questioned.

According to the diagrams posted on Metro Style’s website, the bunkers feature their own ventilation system and freshwater supply. According to the blueprints, the complex is linked to the two tunnels by a lift shaft, with the lower tunnel leading to the beach.
