King Charles desperate to reunite with Archie and Lilibet, likely to invite Harry and Meghan to Balmoral this summer

Following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, his willingness to mend the royal divide between the UK royals and his younger son Prince Harry’s family has increased.

According to insiders, the King is ‘desperate’ to meet his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. Recent reports indicate that King Charles intends to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to a huge royal gathering at Balmoral.

Meghan and Harry left the UK Palace in 2020, relinquishing their royal duties. Since then, they’ve had little communication with their family. King Charles, in particular, has seen little of his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, since they were born. He is eager to spend more time with them and make more memories together.

King Charles desperately wants to see the children

A royal insider who is reportedly very close to the family, told Pagesix, “I can see Charles desperately wanting to see the children, and extending this olive branch to Meghan and Harry. He may decide that life is just too short.” Emphasizing on why Barmoral could be a good place to end the royal rift, the insider continued, “Balmoral is truly the perfect, restful place for a reunion. If he does issue an invite, then Harry and Meghan should surely agree to the visit.”

Prince Harry is slated to attend the Invictus Games event in the United Kingdom this May, but it is unknown whether Meghan Markle and their children will accompany him.

Meghan is allegedly concerned about security after the Duke lost his legal battle over security measures in his hometown. Meghan has only been to the palace once since leaving royal duties in 2020, in September 2022, for the Queen’s state funeral. She declined to attend King Charles’ coronation last year.

Meghan Markle and Harry announced two new Netflix programs

Following shocking disclosures in their previous Netflix documentary, Harry’s memoir Spare, and an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Sussexes are sticking to their Netflix commitments. On April 11, Archewell Productions, owned by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, stated that two new series are currently in production.

The first series aimed at celebrating “the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining, and friendship,” is curated by Meghan. The second series will provide viewers with “unprecedented” access to professional polo, “a sport in which Prince Harry has played for decades,” according to the release.
