Kyong Hui was a pivotal figure in the young leader’s early years in power. But she ceased from the public eye after the death of her influential husband, Jang Song Thaek; on mutiny accusations in 2013, before reappearing six years later.

Kim Jong Un’s wife had been away from the eyes of state media for more than a year. It was before being specked at a performance in February last year, fueling supposition about her health and probable pregnancy. They are reckoned to have three children, according to the spy service. Although zero is known about them in the public eye. On the household front, North Korea is gearing up to commemorate the late leader Kim Jong Il’s 80th birthday in February and the founder Kim Il Sung’s 110th birthday in April. The Day of the Shining Star celebrates the birth of former North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il. It is one of the country’s most notable national holidays.
