Before his enlistment, Jin penned a farewell note with his trademark humor on Weverse

He began counting down three to four months before his discharge from mandatory military service in South Korea. His real name, Kim Seok-jin, saw him enter the military in December 2022. On Weverse, Jin simply posted, “D-100,” sparking excitement among eager fans. One fan tweeted, ‘Can’t wait for him to return,’ while another expressed, ‘Just a little more patience, Jinie. Just 100 days more, and you’re back. Our Moon is going to come home soon.’ Fans eagerly awaited Jin’s return, anticipating his trademark dad jokes and humor.

Before his enlistment, he penned a farewell note with his trademark humor on Weverse, referencing the character ‘Jhin’ from the video game ‘League of Legends’ with the phrase ‘Now it’s curtain call time.’ BangtanTV also shared a video capturing BTS members bidding farewell to Jin during his Entrance Ceremony at the training center. Jin assured fans of his safe return in a message to the BTS ARMY. RM and V began their military service in December 2023, followed by Jimin and Jungkook at later dates. The seven members of BTS are expected to reunite in 2025 after completing their mandatory duties.”
