Growing rift between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: Royal expert weighs in

Signs of Strain in Royal Marriage

According to a report by The Mirror, tensions are rising between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Royal author Tom Quinn reveals, “There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned.”

Meghan’s media concerns

Quinn adds, “Meghan loves media attention and hates that surveys suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public.” This sentiment comes after recent reports indicated a decline in the couple’s popularity since their move to Montecito, California, in 2020. Initially welcomed in Hollywood, their standing appears to have waned.

Setbacks for Meghan’s brand

Discussing Meghan’s new brand, American Riviera Orchard, Quinn notes, “Meghan was in tears when the brand launched and her new jam was widely mocked for being expensive and nothing special.” Launched in March, the brand focuses on home decor and kitchen items, including a variety of spreads and edible options. Despite the high hopes, the reception has been less than favorable.

For Prince Harry, Quinn claims he is “increasingly bored” and longing for the UK, where most of his friends from the army and school still reside. “He never sees [them] because they won’t visit him in the States due to finding Meghan difficult,” Quinn asserts.

Quinn also mentions that Meghan is “particularly sensitive” to any criticism of her luxurious lifestyle in the US, believing it should be admired rather than criticized.

The alleged growing tensions between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex highlight the challenges they face both in their personal relationship and in maintaining public favor.
