Grimes' mother accuses Elon Musk of blocking kids' visit to dying great-grandmother

Sandy Garossino, Grimes’ mother, has sharply criticized Elon Musk, alleging he prevented their children from visiting their ailing great-grandmother in Canada. In emotional social media posts, Garossino claimed Musk withheld essential documents for the children’s travel, canceling the visit as the 93-year-old great-grandmother nears the end of her life.

A heartfelt plea amidst family turmoil

Grimes, formerly Claire Elise Boucher, and Musk, who broke up in 2022, share three children. The custody battle continues, with Garossino, a columnist for Canada’s National Observer, detailing their plight on X (formerly Twitter). In a letter to Musk, she wrote, “Dear Elon @elonmusk It was nice seeing you on Father’s Day. I hope you got the card that I helped X make. He was so proud of it.”

A desperate request to see the great-grandchildren

Garossino highlighted her mother’s desire to see her great-grandchildren, particularly the youngest, whom she has never met. “My 93-year-old mother is now at end-of-life palliative care. She yearns to see and hold Claire’s children one last time. Especially the youngest, whom she has not yet met,” Garossino wrote.

Garossino expressed her dismay over the canceled visit and Musk allegedly withholding the children’s passports. “I am alarmed to learn that the children cannot come as you are withholding them and their needed passport documents from Claire,” she stated, questioning their whereabouts and custody arrangements. She concluded her plea, urging Musk to honor their agreement and stressing the irreplaceable nature of family moments: “Some moments in life last forever, and we get no second chances. Family is priceless.”
