“Drug test did not reveal any presence of drugs”: Marin’s office
“Drug test taken from (the) Prime Minister on 19 August did not reveal the presence of drugs,” said Marin’s office. They added that a doctor signed the results. “The test was a comprehensive drug test. We did not choose how the test was done,” Vallin continued.
Last week, a video of Marin partying and dancing with a group of friends and celebrities was leaked, sparking outrage throughout the world. Some people mistook words said in the video for references to drugs, which were disputed on social media and strongly refuted by the prime minister.
“To clear up any suspicions, I have taken a drug test today,” she told the reporters that had come to her residence. She had previously stated that was just “spending an evening with friends”. She also said that the videos that were leaked were “filmed on private premises”.
Marin denied using drugs, claiming that all she did was drink and party “in a boisterous way.” She also said that “never in my life, not even in my youth, have I ever used drugs.”
Appointed in 2019 when she was 34, she had previously been targeted with criticism over parties that often took place at her official residence.
