Competing in the over-65 category, Rabuka recorded a throw of 7.09 meters, placing eighth overall but third in the 75-79 sub-category.
Rabuka shared his excitement on Facebook, saying, “Even at 75, I hope to inspire the younger generation to develop a habit of keeping fit and staying healthy.” He also expressed gratitude for the support from his wife, Suluweti, and his grandchildren, who cheered him on from the sidelines.
Earlier in the week, Rabuka narrowly missed another medal, finishing sixth in the over-75 discus competition.
