Families of the victims of MH370 demand a new search. What happened to the aircraft?

MH370

Reiterating their calls for a new search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, the families of those on board want to know what happened to the plane. Nine years ago, the MH370 airplane vanished in a suspicious manner. The families want the Malaysian government to approve a new search for the missing jet by US seabed exploration company Ocean Infinity.

Relatives of passengers on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 have urged the Malaysian government to support a new search for the missing aircraft by American seabed exploration company Ocean Infinity.

239 individuals were on board MH370

On March 8, 2014, with 239 passengers on board, the plane suddenly vanished while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Reportedly the flight crashed in the Indian Ocean

Later that month, it was determined by Inmarsat and the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) that the plane had crashed in a remote area of the Indian Ocean.

In 2018, Ocean Infinity was hired to look for aircraft in the southern Indian Ocean. After discovering no sign of the jet, Malaysia, China, and Australia earlier called off a $135.36 million undersea search in January 2017.

Was the flight’s detour intentional?

According to reports, MH370 airplane debris has washed up on islands in the Indian Ocean and near the African coast. Malaysian investigators have never ruled out the idea that the plane had been purposefully diverted off its trajectory.
