Elon Musk took to Twitter to announce that he would be “selling almost all (his) physical possessions. Will own no home”.
Elon Musk and his special house
The house located in Hillsborough is a part of a 47-acre property. The 16,000 square foot home has 9 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms. The house also boasts an outdoor pool, banquet dining room, a ballroom, gorgeous kitchen, and wonderful views. Additionally, it provides access to myriad canyons and hiking trails. Musk purchased this home for $23.4 million in 2017. He had put it out for sale but, withdrew the ad for a while.
He took to Twitter on June 9 to announce that he had sold all of his houses, save for one in Bay Area. Later, he added that he decided to sell the last one because it’s a special place that needs to go to a large family. However, he indicated that he did not live there at present. He added that the property was rented out for events.
The Tesla CEO listed the house himself and you can check out the house on realtor. The house was built in 1916 and will be sold for $37.5 million.
Musk had interesting real estate investments
The Tesla CEO also owned a house by Gene Wilder, the man who played Willy Wonka himself, among other iconic characters. Musk is against having the house torn down or losing its soul. After all, he had added a stipulation that he won’t sell a house he owns due to its special sentimental value. By a turn of events, Musk ended up selling it to the actor’s nephew for $7 million
