Elon Musk accepts 'fight' challenge from Venezuelan President Maduro on national television

Tech mogul Elon Musk has accepted a challenge to fight Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on national television, declaring he is “coming for Maduro.”

A fiery social media response by Musk

The Tesla CEO took to his social media platform, X, and wrote, “I will carry you to Gitmo on a donkey.” This heated exchange comes after Musk accused the socialist leader of “major election fraud” following the recently concluded Venezuelan presidential election, where both Maduro and his opponent claimed victory.

In a speech on national television, Maduro accused Musk of orchestrating attacks against Venezuela, alleging that the Tesla chief was behind a supposed “computer hacking” at the National Electoral Council (CNE). The CNE had declared Maduro the victor without providing detailed figures, leading to widespread allegations of rigging.

The challenge

Responding to Musk’s remarks, Maduro stated, “Social media create a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy is the famous Elon Musk. Do you want to fight? Let’s do it. Elon Musk, I’m ready. I’m not afraid of you, Elon Musk. Let’s fight, wherever you want.”

Musk quickly replied on X, saying someone should “tell Maduro I’ll fight him anytime, anywhere,” adding, “In fact, tell him to bring his favourite donkey too.”

The challenge led to a flurry of reactions online. Musk commented, “Maduro is a big guy himself and probably knows how to fight, so this would be a real fight. Zuck is a little fella, so that would be a short fight, lol.” He further stated, “If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela. If he wins, I give him a free ride to Mars.”

Election controversy

Following the announcement of Venezuela’s election results, he referred to Maduro as a “dictator” and called the polls a “travesty.” Maduro responded, “He wants to come here with his guns and an army to invade Venezuela.

Elon Musk, it’s a good thing you showed your face because we knew you were behind it all! With your money and your satellites.” This high-profile spat between the tech mogul and the Venezuelan president continues to capture global attention as the dispute over Venezuela’s election results remains unresolved.
