Dallas: Company asking for ''Only White Candidates'' in job advertisement sparks outrage

After publishing a job advertisement asking only for white individuals to submit, a US corporation is experiencing internet outrage. According to The Independent, the Dallas-based IT firm Arthur Grand Technologies posted a job position on the employment website Indeed on Tuesday for a business analyst to join their Salesforce and insurance claims team in Dallas, Texas. The business specializes on creating packaging and computer software.
“Only born US Citizens (White) who are local within 60 miles from Dallas, TX [Don’t share with candidates]”, reads the job posting.

A screenshot of the advertisement quickly spread on Twitter and Reddit, where individuals criticized the corporation for discriminating against applicants based on their color or ethnicity.

“Hope they drown under the weight of their racist pebble-sized convictions,” wrote one Reddit user. Another commented, ”I think doing ethnic discrimination this blatantly is pretty illegal.”

The business apologized and said the advertisement was uploaded by a new employee after the uproar. “At Arthur Grand, we do not condone or engage in any type of discrimination based on race, color, or religion,” the company stated in a LinkedIn post.

It was further stated that an examination revealed the ad was the work of a “new junior recruiter.”

‘We conducted an internal investigation and discovered that a new junior recruiter at our firm was responsible for the offending job post. We have taken immediate action and terminated their employment for violating our policy,” the company added.
