The investigation discovered that the samples were infected with a virus that carried genetic material from animals such as raccoon dogs. For a long time, researchers have been perplexed as to the cause of the Covid epidemic. (Diazepam) According to The New York Times, an international team of experts discovered evidence that the Covid virus may have spread from sick raccoon dogs being illegally sold at a seafood market in China’s Wuhan. During a visit to the Hubei Animal Epidemic Disease Prevention and Control Center in Wuhan, members of the World Health Organization (WHO) team.

The result was reached after researchers collected DNA data from swabs obtained from Hunan Seafood Wholesale Market and other places in 2020, according to the report. Swabs were taken from the floors, walls, carts, and cages used to transport the animals, according to the study. The investigation discovered that the samples were infected with a virus that carried genetic material from animals such as raccoon dogs. Despite the fact that this does not prove that raccoon dogs were sick or that they transferred the virus to humans, the study did mention that the virus propagated from wild animals.

“There is a piece of very strong evidence that the animals in the market were afflicted. “There’s simply no other explanation that makes any sense,” says Angela Rasmussen, a virologist who participated in the study. The research was led by three researchers namely Kristian Andersen, Michael Worobey, and Edward Holmes, the report said and the data was posted on GISAID, an open-access genomic database. It was then downloaded and analyzed by scientists from North America, Australia, and Europe. Chinese had already examined the samples and said that “no animal host of SARS-CoV-2 can be deduced”.
