British Navy tests ‘Iron Man’ Jet suits for commando raids

The British Royal Navy is trying modern jet suits to assist its marines to defy gravity and fly – like Iron Man – to board ships moving distantly. The video showed a Royal Marine taking off from a high-speed inflatable boat wearing a jet suit. (https://teledentistry.com/) He was hovering over the ocean, flying and afterward arriving on the deck of the naval force’s patrol ship HMS Tamar. The marine had a machine attached to his shoulders that is like a knapsack. Also, another tube-shaped pair tied to both of his hands.

These machines gave him enough thrust to launch from the speedboat. It also helped him fly over the water, and balance himself while he is airborne and during the landing. After he landed on the deck of HMS Tamar, the marine tossed out a rope ladder for his colleagues to move up the ship from their boat. A video was released by the UK-based Gravity Industries, the firm behind the suit.

Here is a glimpse of the Iron Man Suit

The Royal Marines simulated a “visit, board, search, and seizure” operation, perhaps the most perplexing and perilous sea missions. The other option accessible to the marines was using a helicopter to drop down on the ship. but, that would have been a time taking mission.

42 Commando participated in the exercise for a three day trail. They explored alternative ways to traditional maritime boarding practices.

A British navy official, described the suit as the “latest game-changing kit”.

Gravity Industries has been demonstrating their ‘Iron Man’ tech for a while now, most of the times. Gravity Industries has also collaborated with the Dutch Maritime Special Operations Force (SOF) to test the suit to its full potential.

The suit appears to be upgraded since its previous exhibits. It highlights the small arm rockets and a sleeker knapsack jet more fitting like a science fiction film.
