Puppy Bowl XVIII is fast approaching! Puppy Bowl has shared an exclusive look at a sweet moment from this year’s event: a special message of love from the White House. On Super Bowl, Sunday, President Joe Biden’s dog Commander will make his television debut.
During Sunday’s broadcast of Animal Planet’s “Puppy Bowl XVIII,” the German shepherd will appear with Biden’s wife, Jill, in a video message about pet love. The footage was shared by the first lady’s office on Twitter on Thursday.
“Hi there. I’m Jill Biden, here at the White House with our new puppy Commander,” the first lady says with her dog Commander. “You know, Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays because it’s all about love
The first lady, Jill Biden, sat in the White House movie theater with her dog Commander by her side.
“What’s so wonderful about having pets is they bring us unconditional love, joy, and comfort every day,” she adds. “All of us are wishing you a very happy Valentine’s Day.”
Another video shows the two having fun in a White House corridor.
Jill Biden filmed a public service announcement about wearing masks in a pandemic last year. It aired during Puppy Bowl XVII. Champ and Major, the family’s German shepherds, were a part of the advertisement.
Champ died last year, and Major, who acted violently at the White House, now lives in Delaware.
Willow, the Bidens’ new cat, was recently welcomed into the White House.
The Puppy Bowl XVIII weekend is all about how special a pet’s love is and how a second chance may change an animal’s life.
