Argentina: 65-year-old man eaten by his 17 dogs after he died

According to police, a pensioner whose chewed remains were discovered inside his home in Argentina was eaten by his pack of 17 hungry dogs.

Officers were checking on Carlos Tonini’s well-being after neighbors in Guaymallen, Mendoza province, complained of an unbearable stench on December 13. Officers were horrified when they discovered a thigh bone inside a pair of ragged trousers on the ground inside his home. According to local media, two smaller eight-inch bones were discovered near a T-shirt.

Tonini’s pack of dogs ate him after they were not fed after his death from unknown causes, according to police. Tonini, 65, died a few days before and “was eaten by dogs because he was missing many parts,” according to investigators.

Earlier, a nine-year-old girl was mauled by dogs in a horrific attack in Russia

Tonini’s daughter, Susana Elizabeth Videla Tonini, told police that her father and mother had not spoken in two years due to a family feud. His neighbors described him as a loner who lived alone with his dogs. An autopsy will be performed on his skeletal remains to determine the cause of death, but police say there were no signs of violence.

It comes just hours after a nine-year-old girl was mauled in a horrific attack in Russia that was captured on video. The youngster was attacked moments after she attempted to befriend the pooches, with the feral hounds sinking their teeth into her and inflicting severe injuries.

Dasha, the schoolgirl, was walking down a street in her hometown of Novy Urengoy, Russia, at the time. She was bitten for nearly a minute by three of the four large beasts after they pushed her to the ground. One of the dogs was seen attacking her head, while the other two were seen savagely attacking her body. A fourth dog was also seen in the pack, but thankfully did not participate in the attack.

The girl was only saved when a bystander witnessed the heinous assault and rushed to her aid, forcing the dogs to flee. The man was able to assist the girl in getting back up, and another local arrived to assist.

According to Russian local media, the girl is now in the hospital with “multiple severe injuries,” which could have been fatal if she hadn’t been wearing thick winter clothing at the time due to the -22C temperatures. Pictures show severe wounds on her head and limbs.
