Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan detained in Romania over UK arrest warrant

According to Andrew Tate’s representative, his brother Tristan and he were detained in Romania following the issuance of European arrest warrants by the United Kingdom.

What are the allegations against Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan?

His team stated that the accusations, which include sexual aggression, span the years 2012 to 2015.

According to the statement, the Tate brothers “categorically reject all charges.”

European arrest warrants for two men were issued by UK authorities on Monday for sexual offenses, according to Romanian police.

The Romanian police statement said that one of the alleged offenses was taking advantage of individuals in Great Britain.

The two men were brought before the Bucharest Court of Appeal prosecutor, who issued a 24-hour detention order, according to the police.

The contentious influencer’s attorney stated that the court will decide on Tuesday whether or not to “execute the mandate”.

They said that the brothers were “dismayed and deeply troubled” by the arrest warrant, calling it a “bewildering revival of decade-old accusations”.

“They categorically reject all charges and express profound disappointment that such serious allegations are being resurrected without substantial new evidence,” the statement said.

“They are fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve.”

Tate has maintained that there is a plot to silence him

A Romanian court ordered Andrew Tate, 37, and his brother Tristan, 35, who hold dual US and UK citizenship, to stay in Romania in December after the brothers asked to visit their mother in the UK hospital.

Authorities in Romania are looking into the brothers on suspicion of rape, human trafficking, and starting a criminal gang—all of which the brothers deny.

They are charged with abusing women through an adult content company that, according to the prosecution, functioned as a criminal organization.

In an indictment released in June, the brothers were named along with two female Romanian associates, and seven suspected victims were listed.

Tate has maintained that there is a plot to silence him and that Romanian prosecutors lack any evidence against him.

Self-described misogynist Andrew Tate was previously barred from social media for sharing misogynistic opinions.
