On Friday, August 25, Hannah Neeleman was crowned Mrs. American 2023 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rancher and businesswoman, 33, represented South Dakota and defeated over 40 other contestants to win the coveted national title and the title of Mrs. America 2023.
The new Mrs. America is being acclaimed around the internet for her historic triumph and her epic pro-life reaction on stage, in which she extolled the joys of motherhood seconds before her historic victory. Onstage, a judge asked Hannah Neeleman the final question for the top three: “When have you felt the most empowered?” To this, Hannah took a moment and then answered: “I have felt this feeling seven times now as I bring these sacred souls to the earth. After I hold that newborn baby in my arms, the feeling of motherhood and bringing them to the earth is the most empowering feeling I have ever felt.” Hannah Neeleman’s response drew applause and standing ovations from the audience, as well as praise from netizens.

Mrs. America 2023 is a Utah native, according to Utah Valley 360, despite representing South Dakota in the contest. She resided in Sao Paolo, Brazil, for four years after her marriage in 2014. In 2017, she returned to Utah and established a Ballerina Farm.
