Whatsapp message reactions

WhatsApp is developing a new feature known as “message reactions.” The feature isn’t new in and of itself; it’s also accessible on popular messaging apps including Messenger, iMessage, Twitter, and Instagram DM. This functionality is still in its early phases of development. Also, it is now being tested by WhatsApp.

WhatsApp message reactions intend to function similarly to those found in other apps such as Messenger and Twitter. Emoji can be used to respond to a message. The most common ones are heart, laugh, angry, grin, like, and dislike. We don’t know how WhatsApp message reactions would look.

However, WABetaInfo confirmed that the feature is undergoing testing processes. A screenshot provided by the blog showed a message that reads, “You received a reaction. Update your version of WhatsApp to see reactions.”

This warning appears when the user’s version of WhatsApp does not support that functionality. This confirms that WhatsApp is experimenting with message replies, and we’ll probably see more of this in the coming weeks. As with the majority of the future features, it is likely to hit WhatsApp beta users soon.

Given that WhatsApp has been releasing a slew of new features and experiments, it’s no surprise that it opted to add message reactions to the program. WhatsApp just added a few new capabilities, including vanishing photographs and videos and the ability to join missed group calls.

All WhatsApp users on Android and iOS can use these features. It has also begun testing conversation history transfer from iOS to Android, as well as multi-device functionality, two of WhatsApp’s most anticipated features this year.
