WhatsApp introduces video messages with end-to-end encryption- Here's how it works

WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has added a new function that allows users to send and receive brief video messages in their chats. These real-time video messages will be limited to 60 seconds in length. The video messages will be comparable to the platform’s voice note feature. The new function includes end-to-end encryption, which ensures users’ privacy. The deployment of WhatsApp video messages has already begun, and all users worldwide will have access to them soon.

“New for WhatsApp — we’re adding the ability to instantly record and share a video message in your WhatsApp chats. It’s as easy as sending a quick voice message,” Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post.

WhatsApp stated in a blog post that the new function allows users to shoot video messages with a personalized touch for various events such as birthday wishes, sharing good news, or expressing any essential information. While the service is still being rolled out, users can manually access it by installing the most recent version of the instant messaging program from Google Play or the program Store.

What is the best way to send a video message on WhatsApp?

To switch to video mode, users just press and hold the icon to the right of the text field. They can swipe up to the lock and record the video in the same way that voice notes may. When the recipient opens the video message in chat, it will play immediately without sound. The sound will be activated if the user touches the video.

WhatsApp recently added another intriguing feature that allows users to instantly stop calls from unknown numbers. Another change was the ability to amend a message within 15 minutes after sending it. According to reports, WhatsApp is also working on providing usernames on the network.
