Renders of the iPhone 15 Pro reveal fewer bezels, a curvier shape, and a USB-C port

In the fall, most likely in September, the Pro Max and two further variants are anticipated to debut, along with the iPhone 15 Pro. And yet, it appears that the first speculative renderings of the forthcoming phone have already been released as of mid-February. They are CAD-based, so they have some flaws, but they are still an improvement over nothing.

USB-C port is finally coming to iPhones this year

In order for accessory manufacturers in Asia to have their items ready when the new iPhone becomes official, Apple sends these CAD files to them in advance of the release of new products. The CAD files on which these representations are based, in this instance (pun intended – read on), are believed to have been obtained first by a Chinese case manufacturer.

So, enough with the introduction; let’s see what’s new. You can see that the USB-C port is finally coming to iPhones this year, as has been widely rumored. Then there is the latest design, which appears to curl the glass into the frame and gives the frame a slight curvature. If this works well, holding the phone will be much simpler.

The back’s camera bump appears to be thicker than the one on the iPhone 14 Pro

The back’s camera bump appears to be thicker than the one on the iPhone 14 Pro, which could indicate that there will be more advancements made in this area, possibly with larger sensors. Inside the camera island, the positioning of the three cameras and the LiDAR scanner is the same as it was the previous year.

According to previous rumors, the volume buttons might no longer be physical buttons and instead be capacitive ones. Moreover, the mute switch underwent modification, becoming more compact and rounded. The screen size and resolution of the iPhone 15 Pro are anticipated to be comparable to, if not identical to, those of its predecessor, but because the panel will have reduced bezels, the new device will be slightly smaller overall. Dynamic Island is still present and retains its 14 Pro iPhone 14 appearance. Remember that these renderings might not depict “all parts of Apple’s final design,” as stated by their source.
