New Instagram feature shows you things you recently saw and lets you reshare them in stories

Instagram has promised several new features. The social media platform is changing the way its users can reshare content on their stories. Read along to find out everything about the latest Instagram feature available.

New Instagram feature alert!

Instagram’s latest feature is currently made available to a small subset of its users. However, according to them, it allows users to see a collection of content they have recently viewed and saved. Hence, it also includes the reels and posts you’ve viewed in the last hour. The app has a new ‘reshare’ sticker, that can be found in the tray when you create a new story.

“We know that people sometimes find reshared content less engaging, personal, and fun. We hope that with this new test experience, people are encouraged to be more intentional and deliberate when sharing things that matter to them,” said a spokesperson for Instagram.

New changes in the app

Up until now, content shared on your stories had a pre-set solid or gradient background. However, content shared through these stickers can also be used with other photos. Hence this new feature also allows you to provide context too. The new change can be vital in making your posts less static and more engaging.

However, this new test feature might not make it to the platform for everyone to use. This is because most of Instagram’s test features don’t make it to the public. It might not make it to that official app but, it gives an indication of the company’s future plans and upgrades. Not just this, Instagram has been trying out things like recommendations of similar apps, hiding a number of likes, analytics, etc.
