Apple has released a new 24-inch iMac

Apple also introduced the new 24-inch iMac with the M3 processor. The new iMac with M3 is up to 2.5x quicker than the most popular 27-inch models and 4x faster than the most powerful 21.5-inch model for consumers upgrading from an Intel-based iMac.

It also has a 4.5K Retina display with 11.3 million pixels and over a billion colors, faster wireless connectivity, and a consistent experience with the iPhone.

Customers may begin ordering the new iMac desktop for $1,299 today, with availability beginning on Tuesday, November 7.

Apple unveils the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips

Apple today revealed the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max at the Scary Fast event, three CPUs with “groundbreaking” innovations. These are the first personal computer chips made with the industry-leading 3-nanometer process technology, which allows for more transistors to be crammed into a smaller space while improving speed and efficiency.

According to Apple, the M3 series of CPUs includes a next-generation GPU that is quicker and more efficient, as well as a new technology called ‘dynamic caching’.

For the first time on Mac, new rendering features like hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading have been added.

Rendering rates are now up to 2.5x quicker than on the M1 family of chips, while CPU performance and efficiency cores are 30% and 50% faster than those in M1, respectively.

To provide more efficient and high-quality video experiences from streaming services, a new media engine will now include support for AV1 decoding.
