Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is ready to go to space when Blue Origin, his company launches its first mission next month. The mission will be carrying the billionaire and his brother, Mark, and an auction winner, he announced on Instagram.

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space. On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend.” said Bezos.

“On July 20th, New Shepherd will fly its first astronaut crew to space. We are offering one seat on this first flight to the winning bidder of Blue Origin’s online auction. Starting today, anyone can place an opening bid. The winning bid amount will go to Blue Origin’s foundation, Club of future, to inspire future generations to pursue careers in STEM and help invent the future of life in space. This seat will change how you see the world,” he added.

Blue Origin mission details:

New Shepard flight is an 11-minute trip to the suborbital space. It will reach an altitude close to 62 miles. The company itself is a high-profile space tourism firm that is backed by Bezos. Similar companies like Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Branson’s Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc. aim at exploring space tourism.
