Apple unveils budget-friendly Apple pencil with type-c charging

charging

Apple has released a $79 Apple Pencil with Type-C charging. This new iPad accessory features a sliding top that shows the USB-C connection and magnetically connects to the side of any iPad, including last year’s 10th-generation model. This Apple Pencil, however, lacks some advanced functionality featured in its first- and second-generation siblings due to its lower price point.

Features are limited, however, it is compatible with a variety of iPads

The low-cost Apple Pencil lacks pressure sensitivity, wireless pairing and charging, and the double-tap tool switching capability. It does, however, continue to support hover for iPad Pro M2 models. The new Apple Pencil works with a variety of iPads, including the third- to sixth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the sixth-generation iPad mini, the first- to fourth-generation 11-inch iPad Pro, the fourth- and fifth-generation iPad Air, and the tenth-generation iPad. It will be available in early November.

When compared to prior Apple Pencil versions

The original Apple Pencil charged through a Lightning connector plugged into an iPad port, however the second-generation device utilized wireless charging and was incompatible with the 10th-generation iPad. Apple released the Apple Pencil 2 in 2018, with substantial improvements like as wireless charging, magnetic attachment to supported iPads, and gesture controls for app tool switching. These improvements, however, came at a higher cost of $129 (about Rs. 10,740).

iPad owners have an affordable choice

This new entry-level Apple Pencil provides a more affordable choice for iPad customers who do not want sophisticated functions or cannot afford the more expensive ones. With support for multiple iPad models and USB-C charging, this latest addition to the Apple Pencil family seeks to appeal to a broader audience. As iPads become more popular for both business and personal use, this low-cost Apple Pencil may become a must-have tool for many users.
