Ace Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik revealed on Saturday his third marriage to prominent Pakistani actor Sana Javed, who was previously married to Pakistani musician Umar Javed, amid speculations of his split with former India tennis star Sania Mirza.
Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed used Instagram to share photos from their wedding ceremony on Saturday. “Alhamdullilah, and we created you in pairs,” read the caption on the Instagram post.
As the stars announced their wedding, netizens were startled, believing that the couple was featured in a shoot, but Javed later altered her social media bio to “Sana Shoaib Malik”.
According to Pakistani media site Geo News, which claimed sources within Malik’s family, the couple married in Karachi a few days ago. Arsalan Shah, Malik’s manager, also confirmed the news for X.
Sania Mirza uploaded a mysterious post on Wednesday, fueling suspicions of a possible breakup.
“Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard. Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely,” she said.
