The renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has transformed the ancient mansion known as “Gouri Kunj” into a chic eatery. On Wednesday, he gave his fans a sneak peek at his latest endeavor.
The former home of the late, legendary singer, Kishore Kumar, “Gouri Kunj,” will now be known as the “One8 Commune.” Every community will be catered to in terms of food, according to the eatery in Juhu, Mumbai.
In a video posted to the “One8 Commune” YouTube page, Kohli is seen giving Manish Paul, a well-known actor and anchor, a tour of the restaurant while the two discuss their individual eating experiences. They also participated in a humorous round of silly charades. (Phentermine)
When asked about the venue selection, Kohli cited his admiration for Kishore Kumar and described the performer as charismatic. He also performed a stanza of the well-known song “Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi” by Kishore Kumar.
“His songs have had a profound impact on me. When someone once asked me who I’d most like to meet, I always responded with Kishore Da because he was so magnetic”, the cricketer is heard saying in the film. The batsman used his personal social media account to announce his project.
Kohli posted a message and a video on his Instagram page. “Some fun, laughter, and lots of communing! Catch the exclusive footage of us showcasing our newest Commune in Juhu, launching on the 8th of October,”
Notably, Kohli owns a chain of eateries under the same name, so this is not the first time he has dabbled in the hospitality industry. There are various outlets in Delhi, Kolkata, and Pune.
The T20 World Cup, starting on October 16 in Australia, will see Kohli in action after he missed India’s final T20 International match against South Africa. India will face Pakistan in the opening game of the World Cup on October 23 in Melbourne.
